I’m not sure what to say about this one.  I enjoyed the book, loved the writing and characters, and was all in—until the story abruptly ended with a slew of plots hanging in mid-air.  This book leaves me conflicted because I’d like to recommend it to others, but I can’t do that in good conscience because the ending left me dissatisfied and somewhat annoyed.  I’d compare it to waving a steak in front of a hungry person, giving them a small salad to tide them over, then tossing the nice, juicy steak out the window.  Alas, I can only give this three stars though it pains me to do so.
